Lake Sinissippi Fish Stocking Project Update
As most of you know, one of the main projects our partners at the Lake Sinissippi Improvement District (LSID) do for lake residents is fish stocking to help restore a more balanced ecosystem in the lake. The LSA is very supportive of these efforts and directs funds to the LSID to help offset the costs of this project. In the last few years alone, the LSID has purchased and carefully released more than 20,000 fish into the lake using their funds, donations from LSA, and specific stocking donations from LSA members. The good news is we are already starting to see mature fish of each species and natural reproduction bolstering the new populations. This not only improves the ecosystem of the lake but also makes game fishing more fun and rewarding for our lake residents and visitors.
Thanks to all the LSA supporters who help make this achievement possible! Below are some photos of the last year showing the amazing progress we have made together.
